The Guild of Fancy Rat Breeders

The Guild of Fancy Rat Breeders (GOFRB) was founded in October 2020 as an international fancy rat enthusiast and exhibition club. 
Aimed towards those who own, breed, and/or expresses a keen interest in the domestic Norway rat. The main purpose of the guild is to advocate and inspire the improvement, breeding, and exhibition of fancy rats to a standard of excellence. We also aim to promote their positive qualities as companion animals.

Our founding goal as a club, is to support the ethical breeding of the fancy rat. Be it purely for exhibition or pet purposes, we believe that rats deserve the same respect and welfare standards as other, more popular companion animals, like rabbits and cavies.
